HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY 2018
It’s Valentine’s Day (week) and, last time I checked, I wrote romance stories. So, it’s time to celebrate romance with a brand, new contest! I want this contest to be for my readers, so I’m going to ask a question only they would know. And since it’s Valentine’s Day and no one does romance like Raphael and Cyn, here’s your question (and it might be tougher than you think.) QUESTION: What’s the very first time—not in dreams, but in waking life—that Raphael and Cyn kiss? The entry rules—which must be followed exactly—are as follows: 1. Send an email to dbreynoldswriter@gmail.com with VALENTINE 2018 on the subject line. 2. Your return email address MUST BE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS. 3. Include your answer to the contest question in the body of the text, along with your first and last name. 4.

DUNCAN and QUINN and SHIFTERS
It’s DUNCAN’s turn to be on sale this month. His e-book is only $1.99 on all the usual platforms, but, as always, this price won’t last, so get it now. I’ve been hard at work on QUINN’s revisions since coming home from Antarctica. It’s taken me awhile to make the time zone switch and get my writing mojo back in order. I think I’ve finally done it, though. My muscles still ache like hell from climbing rocks and slogging through sandy beaches, not to mention climbing all those stairs on the ship. And I’m still grateful to wake up in my own bed with no need to throw on the wet gear and climb into a zodiak. It was the trip of a lifetime, and I’m thrilled I took it. But now I’m happy to be home, with my big

I’M HOME … FROM ANTARCTICA!
I said I was taking a vacay, and I did … sort of. I grabbed my niece and we jumped a ship to Antarctica. Actually, the trip was long-planned. These things required planning, and lots of cold weather gear. It was fantastic, though. It was a long-time dream of mine to visit the 7th continent (aka Antarctica,) and it was everything I hoped. It was spectacular. I’ve posted some of the pictures HERE. I’ll be catching up tomorrow on bookmark requests and contest prizes. I spent the weekend buried in laundry, junk mail, and household chores. The joys of coming back from vacation. But, I’ll be back next week with news on February sales, and updates on future books. It’s great to be back on land! xoxo DBR

DECEPTION and SHIFTER PLANET 2
This is the month for DECEPTION. The audio book is being recorded. And the e-book is on sale. Beginning January 16th, the e-book is $0.99, for a very short time only, so grab it while you can. I’m lost in the swamps of Shifter Planet. You didn’t know they have swamps on Harp? Neither did the bad guys. (heh, heh) The shifters know, and that’s all that matters. I’m taking a few days off to veg, maybe someplace warm, maybe someplace with snow. But no social media. So I’ll be off the blog, but working hard on Shifter Planet 2. There won’t be a blog next week, but I’ll see you on Jan 29th. Have a great rest of January! xoxo DBR

QUINN and SHIFTER PLANET 2
QUINN is written and revised, now it’s up to my hard-working editor, Brenda, who’s sitting at home with a broken ankle, while she works. That’s dedication. The hard work is done for me. Revisions, edits, copy edits, proofs … those will be coming. But for now, I’m spending time searching the image banks, looking for my Quinn. By the way, the next Vampires in America book is definitely Scotland, which means … research trip! Scotland has always been high on my bucket list. Just a little one. Maybe two of three days. I’ll watch some movies, binge some TV shows I’ve been saving. I watched Blade Runner 2049. Now, I say this as someone who has seen the original Bladerunner multiple times (it was a favorite of the DH.) I’ve also read the Philip K. Dick novella on which it’s

HAPPY NEW YEAR – 2018!
I had a quiet New Year’s Eve, doing what I do every other night … writing! Or, in this case, actually editing the final draft of QUINN, which is very nearly ready to send off to my lovely editor, Brenda. Yay! I’m never sure when I first finish a book, if I’m going to like it. When I’m writing, I’m so into this paragraph or that sentence, that I can’t always see the whole book, until I go back and do my final read-through. Well, I’m happy to say that I love Quinn, and I can hardly wait to share him with you in April 2018! 2018!? I can’t believe we’re here already. But onward and upward. Next up will be revisions to Shifter Planet 2. I’m going back to Harp, gonna’ run for my life through the unimaginatively named
