We Have Winners!

A lot of you were stumped by the four reader questions in my Valentine’s Day contest! Here are the correct answers! And the winners, drawn at random from among those entries who answered all four questions correctly, are: 1. PRIZE PACK #1 (autographed books) LORI F. 2. PRIZE PACK #2 (e-books) SHERYL N. 3. PRIZE #3 (audio book) ROBYN W. 4. GRAND PRIZE: ($50 Amazon Gift Card) DAPHNE W. All of the winners have officially claimed their prizes, which means this contest is over. But don’t despair, there will be more contests coming. In other news, I’m happy to say that we have a new narrator for the audio books, and recording has commenced on DUNCAN. I’m especially excited because our new narrator is Nick Russo—yep, he’s a guy, and I’ve already heard his reading of the first chapter. You’re

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY (contest is over!)

Happy Valentine’s Day! I spent a quiet day with the love of my life, my darling husband. We watched a movie and I didn’t cook, which makes any day better. Saw Deadpool. Wonderfully clever writing, Ryan Reynolds is perfect. Lots of violence and action, but also romance. Loved it. Great news this week when RT let me know that I’d been moved off the wait list and into the Giant Book Fair during the upcoming RT Booklovers Convention in Las Vegas! I’m looking forward to meeting all of my readers there! As for the rest of the week? Work, work, work. The first Nick spin-off book, DAMIAN, was turned in and I already have it back. Which means I’m on deadline for revisions. COMPELLED, the next Cyn & Raphael e-novella (which also includes Nick) is revised and in copy edit.

FEBRUARY ALREADY?!

Yep, it’s February, and we all know what that means. Valentine’s Day! Oh sure, there are some other things thrown in there, like President’s Day here in the U.S., and Time-For-DB-To-Turn-In-Her-Book day . . . or maybe that’s just me. But seriously, I’ve been hiding in my cave writing like crazy, and, yes, the manuscript is done and on time. It just needs the Epilogue, to tease the next book, and then it’s “to be continued” and off to my editor. So, I’m inclined to celebrate. For a day or two anyway. After that, it’s on to the next book. But not for you, dear readers. You get a Valentine’s Day Party with lots of great prizes, including free books—print, e, and audio—and a grand prize of an Amazon Gift Certificate. You can find the Party/Giveaway information on the Contest/Giveaway

RETREATING DEEPER INTO THE CAVE

Yep, I’m still very much in the cave, but . . . I’m very nearly finished with the book. One more week and then we’re having a party . . . A Valentine’s Day party! With loads of giveaways! In the meantime (and fortunately) there is video in the cave, something to play in the background while I’m writing. I’ve watched all sorts of things while I’ve been pounding this deadline, but one of those things is The Avengers: Age of Ultron. And I’ve reached two conclusions …. (1) Chris Evans/Captain America is truly badass. And (2) Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) should wear a helmet when she rides her super bike. And that’s as much brain power as I can spare for the Avengers. Congrats to Peyton Manning and the Broncos … I love Tom Brady, but I had to

DID I MENTION I’M IN THE CAVE?

There are lots of Writer at Work signs that warn you not to disturb on pain of being killed off in the next novel. I thought this one was more appropriate. Forget the next novel. If you interrupt me right now, you’re going down in this world, right now. Okay, so maybe not that bad. Maybe if you’re a stranger at Starbuck’s, but since most of my writing is done at home, the only person there to interrupt me is the DH. I can’t kill him, right? Or even hurt him. On the other hand, I’ve been pretty grumpy lately, so he might be ready to kill me instead. 😀 And that’s all I have this week, because that’s all I’ve been doing this week. I promise once I turn this book in (and before I begin the next, or
