If you follow me on FB, you’ll know that I descended into the dungeon this week. No social media, no movies, just writing. Unlike the cave, there’s nothing to do in the dungeon except work, which is kind of the point. I’m working hard on revisions, hoping to finish by Wednesday, and then maybe manage a few days’ break for fun stuff—or at least for sleep—before the next deadline goes live. I’ve gotten a tremendous amount of work done, however, which is good news for all of us. It means deadlines will be met, and that means projects will release on time. And that’s good, right?
.
But while the dungeon is great for my writerly productivity, it makes for a boring blog post. I apologize for that! Although hopefully when I meet those release dates, you’ll find it all worth while! Unfortunately, the most entertaining thing I did this week was watch an episode or two of Property Brothers while eating dinner! Not that Jonathan and Drew aren’t entertaining, because they are. This show is my new addiction. Have you seen it? It’s on HGTV. Twin brothers—one real estate agent, one contractor—who sell a fixer-upper house to someone, and then renovate it. Suddenly, I’m looking at the walls of our house, and wondering if they’re load-bearing! lol
.
Okay, I’m going back to work. Oh, you thought I was kidding about the boring part? Nope. This is me sending the blog post up the pneumatic tube delivery system from the dungeon, and then going back to work.
I want to leave you on a bright note, however. Remember, I posted a picture of a vampire minion a couple of weeks back? Well, one of my readers mentioned she’d seen them on Amazon. And since I’m a dedicated on-line shopper—packages arrive at my house almost daily from Amazon, from eye drops to laundry detergent and everything in between—I went looking for my minion. And look who arrived … well, I’m not sure when he arrived, but I just got around to opening a pile of boxes today. I’m not kidding when I say I shop at Amazon! Anyway…doesn’t he look great standing there on my bookshelf?!
.
::sigh:: Okay, back to the dungeon with me. I’ll see you here next week, by which time I guarantee I’ll be living in the sunshine. Thank you for your patience. 🙂
xoxo
