I’M BACK!!

It’s been a busy and productive time since I posted here. I finished DRAGAN’s revisions and copy edits, checked out his cover (which is so perfect for him) and, oh yeah, I flew up to British Columbia and took a road trip from Vancouver to Tofino on the Pacific edge of Vancouver Island. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. I went there for the storms, which are legendary. Of course, when I arrived we had the most perfect, sunny weather you could imagine. The view from my cliff-front hotel room was of a mirror-like ocean, not a wave in sight, and when I ventured out, I didn’t need anything but my light jacket. Grrrr. Not what I counted on! I did get in some beautiful hikes, though. Especially one which was a nature walk with a woman who knew absolutely everything about the surrounding forest. And we had a lovely crescent moon one night, which is the picture above.

But then…the last two days, we finally got some weather! It was wild and windy and wonderful! A very stormy ocean, lots of movement, though no huge waves, so I’ll have to go back again. Not exactly a hardship. I loved every minute, even the drive there, by ferry and highway.

One must always go home, though. So here I am, working hard. Outlining the next Vampires in America, which will be in Barcelona, Spain–the dark stranger from the Epilogue to LACHLAN. I’m also finishing up a special project just for my readers. I was going to publish a new Cyn & Raphael novella to release around the holidays, but after discussing it with my publisher, I’ve decided to write a brand new Vampire Vignette instead. I’ll be posting it to this blog and in my newsletter as soon as it’s finished. I’m editing it now, so maybe before Hanukkah/Christmas, or maybe in the week before New Year’s. But it will be a freebie/holiday gift for the best readers in the world. I love you all!

I’m already thinking about next year, with DRAGAN in January, and then the next Vampires in America, and then… (fanfare please) Nick’s long awaited story. I’m also super excited to have been invited to the 2020 Book Lovers Con, and I’d love to see some of you in Nashville.
