HUNTED Tour Button 150 pixel htAnd speaking of giveaways, the blog tour was great, but it’s officially over. Entries are being tallied, and I’ll announce the winners as soon as I have them.

I’m gearing up to begin a new writing project now that ADEN has left me (sob.) I’m thinking about the next Vampires in America novella and book, and maybe some new Vignettes. I have an idea for the Vignettes that I’m kind of excited about. Or maybe I’ll start something brand new, but more on that later. In the meantime, I’ve started watching Highlander reruns while I write. I’ve watched Buffy all the way through about six times, so I figured I needed some new pictures on the screen. It’s been years since I watched the pretty Adrian Paul do his Highlander thing.

And, of course, it’s Sunday, which means it’s True Blood time. This week’s episode was mostly filler. Sookie went searching for an ordinary boyfriend and ended up hustling Sam. Talk about insulting! Fortunately, Sam had his Baby Momma waiting in the bar, and he told Sookie to take a hike. So then she gets all dressed in black and takes Bill to fairyland? Shouldn’t she have gone to Warlow herself first? Hey, honey, let’s get married and then go hunt up Bill and rescue some vamps. Whatever. I liked the scene where Eric told the teenaged boy that he was sorry he had to take away the memory of seeing Adelaide’s breasts. 😀 And I’m really looking forward to next week when it looks like Eric is going to kick some serious ass. Rumor has it that someone else is going to die. Rumor even suggests it might be Eric. Nooooooooo!

On the book front (other people’s books) this was a good week for my pre-order folder! Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews released on 30 July, and it was superb, with a few surprises and not all of them happy. I’m tempted to start the whole series over again, just so I don’t have to wait another year to spend time with Kate and Curran. John Gilstrap also released his new Jonathan Grave. I love those books, no romance, but lots of military-speak and hero action. Digger Grave is my guy. And then there was Susan Andersen’s new romance. I love her alpha males.

Oh, and I bought another pair of boots. “But, DB,” you’re saying, “it’s summer in California! What do you need boots for?” Well, someone once told me you can never have too many boots. Besides, I have it on good authority that Winter is coming! LOL

Okay, that’s it for this week. I’ve gone back to Jennifer Ashley’s Shifter Unbound series, only one left to read, and that’s Tiger Magic. Then it’s a wait until November.

Some other book is coming out in November, too. Let me think … oh, yeah, it’s ADEN! Woohooo!

That’s it for me this week. I’ll be back next Sunday with more.

xoxo
