EPIC CAME KNOCKING ON THE CAVE DOOR THIS WEEK
Yep, in a total surprise this week, EPIC let me know that ADEN was a finalist for their eBook Award this year. That was definitely worth coming out of the cave for!
Other news that made it into the cave included final information on my Christmas story which will be appearing on the NOCTURNAL REVIEWS BLOG this Friday, November 19th. I’d tell you what it’s about, but it’s a surprise. You’ll have to read the story to find out. 🙂

But mostly I’ve been hiding in the cave this week, writing like crazy, so I’m going to share a little snippet from DECEPTION with you.

Mal sat on the opposite side of the sun deck, leaning forward, arms on his thighs, hands dangling between his knees. “You think this is the place?”
She didn’t respond right away, her throat too thick with emotion to get the words out. She’d wanted a sign. Did it count that her heart ached? That every instinct she had was drawing her to that house? That she could smell him, could feel his warmth in her blood?
“Yes,” she managed. “That’s it.”
