A PODCAST WITH YOURS TRULY!

Yes, indeed, Arial Burnz interviewed me a couple of weeks back for her ParaNormal Radio podcast series! It’s up today, with a double giveaway. Two readers (or should I say listeners) will have her/his choice of any of my backlist, either autographed print or ebook, winner’s choice. We talked about where my vampires come from, why I write what I do, and I reveal my own personal paranormal experience–no, not the vampire in Malibu one–but a ghost story from when I lived with my first husband, who was far more forgettable than the ghost. There’s a snippet from the previous feature and some ads, and then my interview starts at 01:50, it runs about ten minutes, then there’s another commercial break, and it picks up again around 11:30. One caveat … I say in the interview that the release schedule will be September for UNFORGIVEN and October for VINCENT, but as I’ve posted on this blog the FINAL RELEASE SCHEDULE is October/November, with UNFORGIVEN releasing on October 1, and VINCENT on November 1. A small difference, but an important one.

It came out better than I’d hoped, given that it all happened before noon. 😀 And after you’ve listened to me three or four times (ha,ha) there are lots of archived podcasts, including one of my all-time favorite authors, the brilliant and charming Nalini Singh.

In other news, I stepped away from my computer and out my front door last Monday/Tuesday night and watched the lunar eclipse and the blood moon. Fantastic! So beautiful to watch. The skies were clear and the moon was high enough that I didn’t even have to climb up on my roof to see around the trees.

On the writing front, it’s all moving very fast now. I actually wrote the penultimate scene today. A little out of sequence, but I woke up with a terrific scene in my head (as happens sometimes) and I had to get it all down. I was very happy with the way it worked out on paper, too. (Okay, so actually on the computer screen, but …) I’m so close to finishing this story, I almost can’t believe it. Vincent is Vampire Lord #8! Which means the next story I write about my vampires will be a whole new story arc that will take us back to Cyn and Raphael. It’s wonderful and amazing how far we’ve come.

And speaking of wonderful and amazing things, a friend posted a link to a somewhat, um, different video this week. It’s a very distinguished gentleman who was intrigued by a Barbie-like doll that claims to be part of the Flaming Pussies gang and which includes a flamethrower. So he opens the package, and, well … you have to watch it. I literally couldn’t stop laughing. HERE’S THE LINK so you can laugh, too.

Books … I’m heading over to GoodReads to update my 2014 Reading Challenge. I hope I’m catching up a little. TV … GAME OF THRONES continues to be fantastic! Although I do worry about Sansa. That girl can’t seem to catch a break, while Jaime has questionable timing and an unhealthy obsession. We’ll see how far he’s willing to go for his sister/lover who he admits is a hateful woman.

And now I’m back to Vincent and Lana, because I need to go back and write the events that lead UP to that penultimate scene which I enjoyed so much! 😉
