HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

That’s right, on this day in the year #mptyer, Mom and Dad got up at the crack of dawn and welcomed their third child. Their first reaction was . . . “Darn, it’s another girl.” And their second reaction was . . . “Why is it so orange?”

::sniff:: That’s so touching, it brings tears to my eyes. ::sigh::

Back to business. I’m nearly finished with RAJMUND’s first round of revisions, which is good because I’ll be getting the edits for JABRIL in a day or so. It’s looking good for JABRIL to be out on schedule, which is fantastic news!

To celebrate all of this good news and, oh yeah, my birthday, I’m holding a new drawing. Anyone who comments on my blog (this post or any other) between now and the end of the month gets a chance at an autographed copy of either JABRIL or RAPHAEL (your choice). So post away, my lovelies. Let me know you’re out there.

A Disgusting Fact in Honor of Summer . . . During an hour’s swimming at a municipal pool you will ingest 1/12 liter of urine.

  1. Happy Birthday! I had a birthday last week too. And it’s good to hear that the writing is on schedule. 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

  2. I probably should have said “comment” rather than “post.” But you’ve already done it twice, so you’re in the hat, Trudy!

  3. I wasn’t orange, but was yellow. My older sister had it, and because she was the first child, it was a big deal. But since I was the third child, it was like “dude, whatever; she’ll be right, mate” when I had it 😉

Alas, dear DB, you and I are not the favourites 😉 Then again, we are both Cancerians, and thus vastly overemotional – or maybe that’s just me 😉

    Have a lovely day! 🙂

  4. Tez darling, ALL the best people were born in July! And yes, depending on the cycle of the moon, I can be quite overemotional–and, no, NOT just because I’m a girl!!

I wasn’t the first child, but I was the first orange one! They actually had to give me a complete blood tranfusion, like all the blood in my tiny body–oh, to be tiny again. ::sigh::

    Happy Birthday, Tez!

  5. Happy belated birthday from a fellow crab.
Cannot read anyone elses comments because they are tiny white letters on grey background.

  6. Happy birthday. Orange?

About the pool… this is exactly why I NEVER swim in a public pool. Ever. Our homeowner’s association common area has a pool that is filled to the brim with running, screaming, and probably peeing, children.

  7. Happy Belated Birthday Donna!!! Hope it was a good one.

Oh and thanks for the Amazon gift certificate – when will JABRIL be available for pre-order? Just checked again and not yet. 🙁

  8. Hi DB,

Happy belated Birthday !! I hope it was a great one for you !! Well I wasn’t orange when I popped out but my parents did say my head reminded them of an easter egg covered with peach fuzz 🙂 My face was kind of purple-ish so that might explain the color.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you have much I loved Raphael. It was awesome. I left a 5star review on amazon because I felt it deserved it. You are a very gifted writer. I am so looking forward to your next book Jabril due out soon. I can’t wait to catch up on what’s been going on with Raphael and Cynthia. The new story sounds thrilling as well. I wish you all the best with your next book !!

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

    Warmest regards,
    Gigi 🙂

    1. Thank you, Gigi! It’s always wonderful to hear from readers–especially the ones who liked my books!

I’ll be posting soon with news about JABRIL’s release, so stay in touch.

And thanks again for stopping by to say such nice things.
