VINCENT on AUDIO, EMERALD CITY, and BOOKS on SALE!

First up this week is my beautiful VINCENT! Guess what I’ll be doing as soon as I finish this blog post? I’ll be listening to the FINAL audio of VINCENT! Yay! I’ll be QA’ing it (which means listening along with reading the book, for accuracy) and then it will be back to our talent narrator Nick J. Russo for a final polish, and then ….. VINCENT will hit Audible. It won’t be long now! And once VINCENT is on his way, Nick will begin his narration work on DECEPTION. We’re working hard to catch up to the series, and it won’t be long before all of the books will be available on audio.

I’m writing this blog with the lights of Bellvue, Washington outside my window. Sunday was the final day of the Emerald City writers’ conference, and by the time you read this, I’ll be back home. I had a fantastic time, met lots of readers and writers, and made some wonderful new friends. I’m already planning on coming back next year!

Fire. I don’t pretend to know how the thousands of families devastated by the most recent California fires must feel. Starting all over. Everything from knives and forks to every piece of furniture to irreplaceable mementos of a life . . . all gone. And, worst of all, the lives lost when the fire struck out of nowhere in the middle of the night. The DH and I moved into the fire zone a long time ago. It’s a beautiful place to live, but having lived here for so many years, we’ve gone through more fires than I can easily count. Some evacuated us, some didn’t. We’ve been so fortunate never to have had our home burn, but living under the threat of it, and all those times we’ve watched the fires come close, you learn to recognize the things that really matter. I have fire safes for those irreplaceable photos, and for personal items that may not have a high dollar value, but whose sentimental value is off the charts. But, even so, when fire hits as fast as it did in Santa Rosa, you have no time to grab anything. You run with the clothes on your back. Period. My heart aches for the people coming back to nothing but ash. I fear for the missing and weep for the dead and their families and friends. Please keep them in your thoughts as they struggle to recover.

And finally …
LUCIFER will be going on sale this week. I’ll have more on that during the week and in next week’s post, since the sale price isn’t posted as of the time I’m writing this. Midnight means different things in different time zones!

SHIFTER PLANET will also be going on sale this week as part of Entangled’s Halloween Spook-tacular event. Again, the link isn’t active yet. Those pesky time zones. So I’ll have more on it during the week and in next week’s blog.

And don’t forget to pre-order your copy of RELENTLESS! It’s almost here!

Okay, gotta put my headphones on and get back to VINCENT. (yay!)

Hug the ones you love.

xoxo
