Every time. I write a new character, and I fall in love with him. This week, of course, I’m talking about Aden. He’s difficult and dark, but oh so sensuous. And deep in his black heart is a core of strength and honor. ::sigh::

Yes, I’ve done a lot of writing this week, a lot of quality time with Aden, and, oh, yeah, Sidonie, too. (heh heh)

I had a very productive week, and not only in terms of writing. I got my home office wired back up, so I can use my desktop computer again. My books and files still aren’t back, but there’s no urgency on that. I’d rather spend the time finalizing Aden, and I have all of my research for that close to hand.

And as promised, I treated myself to Iron Man 3, and loved it! I love the sly humor. RDJ is perfect, and if you stayed through the credits, you know that Iron Man will be back! Yay! This week it’s Star Trek Into Darkness, and I can hardly wait!

On the small screen this week was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. I like other music, too, but my heart will always be with rock and roll, so I loved this. And then there was this week’s Game of Thrones, which was oddly unsatisfying. Especially the closing scene with Sam, the girl, Gilly, and the baby running off into the night, leaving behind the only weapon that worked against the walker!! What a dunderhead. Time for evolution to take its course. Sam’s an idiot–a sweet idiot, but an idiot all the same–but Gilly had a more practical upbringing, I’d have expected her to remember the knife.
As for the psychotic king Joffrey … it’s been a while since I read those books, but please tell me he dies a horrible death involving weeping lesions and castration. They’re very big on damaging penises in this series— cutting off Theon’s, sticking a leech on Gendry’s— what could it hurt to slice and dice Joffrey a little bit?

Also abandoning me this week with season finales were Elementary, which I love, and Grimm, whose 2nd season was so much better than their first (albeit with Juliet still hanging in there – ugh.) On the other hand, Longmire starts up this weekend! And Strike Back won’t be far behind, and then True Blood, which I admit by this point I’m watching mostly just so I can lust after Alexander Skarsgard. LOL

Don’t forget my listing on Brenda Novak’s Auction, NAME A CHARACTER IN ADEN. We’re heading into the final week of the auction, which is when most of the hot bidding takes place, so keep an eye on that one.

Have I forgotten anything? How about if I leave you with an observation from my new boyfriend, Aden …

“Some women,” he murmured, his dark voice a burr of sound that scraped against her every nerve, “want what’s not good for them.”

Well, for my part, let me just say … there’s good … and then there’s goooood. ;D

Have a great week!

What a great exit line! Lord Jamie Lannister is definitely growing on me. For those of you who don’t get the reference, I was watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones tonight, groaning that there are only 3 episodes left, and realizing that it will take YEARS before they tell the entire story. This is a fantastic fantasy series that’s been translated very faithfully to the small screen. And you know why? Because George R. R. Martin did the adaptation, and didn’t let them destroy his story. Unlike certain other HBO shows I could mention.

Hmmm, back to the homefront. I’m slowly reclaiming my house. All of the repair people are gone! Yes, our house is once again ours. No more space suits, no more 8:00 am doorbells. New paint, new carpet, dry floors. And gods be praised, we’re once again sleeping in our bedroom. That was the first room I completed, our bedroom. What a relief. Now, I have to move everything back into my office, which means wiring the computers and printers, etc. I had to start from scratch because they took everything (and I mean everything) out. In the end, it will be much neater than the tangled pile of cords (some not even connected to anything anymore) that was there, so that’s a good thing. Next up will be returning all the books and files to their proper places.

In fact, I’ve been working so hard getting everything back in order, that I’m going to treat myself to Iron Man 3 this week. And then … STAR TREK! Woohoo! INTO DARKNESS! I can hardly wait. And have you all seen the Leonard Nimoy/Zachary Quinto Audi Commercial? It’s so funny and so much fun! I think Quinto is a terrific new Spock.

The next Cyn & Raphael e-novella HUNTED went off to my publisher tonight. I held onto it for a while, since it’s so closely tied to the story in ADEN, but I’m far enough along there that the story is set. So my publisher is happy, I’m happy, and you all will be happy to hear that HUNTED is on track for a Summer release. Lots of Cyn & Raphael, with a taste of Lucas & Kathryn, and a teaspoon of ADEN.

And I’m finally making wonderful progress on ADEN. Now that I have my workspace back to myself, I’m writing like crazy and it feels so good. What a relief. I was beginning to think my brain was permanently clogged. But, nope. Aden is with me all the way.

And speaking of ADEN, don’t forget the BRENDA NOVAK AUCTION to NAME A CHARACTER IN ADEN. May is half over, which means so is the auction.

Wait, did I say May is half over? WTF? I’ve got to get back to work! Six weeks of camping in the living room have seriously cut into my deadline margin. I’ve updated my 100 Book Challenge, posted some books on Yy GoodReads Page, and reviewed John Sandford’s latest Lucas Davenport. Gotta get to work.

See you next week!

It’ll be short and sweet this week, because I’m in it hot and heavy with Aden, but keep reading, and I’ll make it up to you!

First up, this coming week is the first ever International Clitoris Appreciation Week. When I saw this, all I could think about was imagining a debate in the U.S. Congress as they tried to decide whether or not to endorse such week of recognition. Especially since I’d guess that at least 3/4 of the Neanderthals in that august body can’t even say “clitoris,” without fearing for their immortal souls. ::eye roll:: But alas, there never was such a debate and the subject is actually quite serious. Sponsored by the group CLITORAID, it’s designed to call attention to the issue of female genital mutilation, a very worthy cause.

Beginning this past week was the Brenda Novak On-Line Auction for Diabetes Research, which always has tons of good stuff for both readers and writers, and everyone else, too. Included for the first time this year is an offering from yours truly to NAME A CHARACTER in ADEN’s BOOK. Just for comparison, the last person to win one of my NAME YOUR CHARACTER auctions created the character of Judy Peterson, Lucas’s horse trainer in LUCAS. So be sure and check out my listing and all the others in the auction. Bidding gets hot and heavy in the last few HOURS and MINUTES of the month, so be sure and get your bid in early. Every item is set up for limit bidding, which means you set your max amount, and if counter bids come in, the system bids for you up to your limit.

Good news on the wrecked house front … unless fate intervenes, they’ll be installing carpets this week, which is the next to last step in reclaiming use of my entire house. I’m almost afraid to hope for it, afraid to temp those fickle bitches of Fate.

No movies this week, though I am definitely going to be seeing Iron Man 3 on the big screen. I did watch the latest Game of Thrones, and I have to say, even though she has the IQ of a potted plant, I really feel for Sansa Stark. I used to just find her irritating and clueless, but by now, the poor girl deserves a break. Oddly, Tyrion is probably the most decent of her potential suitors. As for the rest of the Lannisters, little King Geoffrey is clearly a sociopath, and his dear mother Cersei is getting what she deserves. I had a bad moment at the end of this episode, because of the way they ended it with Baelish talking about chaos as a ladder and flashing on all the different players. I thought somehow it was the end of the season! But, no, there’s more.

Books – I’ve updated my 100 Books list, and posted a couple of reviews on GoodReads, too.

And now, to make up for the short and sweet … a little short and sweet something from ADEN.

Aden shrugged. “You were very determined, and I was curious. What is it you really want, Sidonie?” He traced one finger along the delicate curve of her collar bone, bending close enough to draw in the sweet scent of her blood. She shivered, though not entirely in fear. He’d been right before, she was aroused by his presence, or maybe simply by the thought of having a vampire drink from her. But there was fear there. And that was far more arousing to him than her curiosity.

Have a great week!

House Update: The DH and I are still living in only half of our house, though we did reclaim all of our bathrooms. No more sharing, which is a good thing because my personal formula for marital success includes TWO bathrooms. But the shoe therapy continues. Sandals this time, which are at least practical since it was 80° here today! Progress has been made, however. The painters were here most of last week (8:00 every effing morning – ugh!) We’re waiting on the carpeting now, hopefully this week. Once that’s done, I can have my furniture brought back! And then I get to put everything back where it belongs. Oh, joy.

Read some more this week of With Silent Screams, the next book of The Hellequin Chronicles from my friend and critique partner, Steve McHugh. It won’t be released until February 2014, but I get it now. Brilliant, as the Brits would say.

Speaking of books, the final book of Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse world, DEAD EVER AFTER, will be released May 7th. I can hardly wait, though the book released early in Germany, and some particularly unpleasant reader (to put it nicely) decided to spoil the ending for everyone else. Apparently, whoever it is didn’t like the ending and so added some nasty remarks against Ms. Harris personally. I’ve met Charlaine Harris on two occasions, and she is the nicest person, totally undeserving of the kind of remarks that were thrown at her, not to mention the fact that Ms. Harris created Sookie and knows her better than anyone else. It’s her story, and she can end it any way she wants.

Game of Thrones was excellent again this week. Of course, the books were brilliant, but sometimes TV/Movies can ruin even the best of books. HBO is doing a great job of staying true to the books. In particular, Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons are very well done. I’ve also started watching Hemlock Grove, which is a new series on Netflix. It has a kind of Twin Peaks quality, which can be good, as long as they give us more resolution than Twin Peaks did. Interesting to note that Alex Skarsgard’s little brother stars in it. Billy Skarsgard plays one of the teenage protagonists, a spoiled rich kid from a very strange family. He resembles Alex, though it’s mostly in the moody expression and the tall, lanky body. Famke Janssen is the evil bitch mother. She’s beautiful and seductive, but she has very big feet, I guess on purpose. But why do all the rooms in their house look like hotel rooms?? And why are people throwing up all the time? Gross.

My ADEN continues to unfold. He’s dark and moody, neurotic and difficult. Just the kind of man I’ve always favored in my personal life. I wonder if that’s significant? I did change the name of his love, however. I love the name Francesca, but it just wasn’t working. Every time I had to type it, my fingers stuttered over the keys, every time a character said it, it hung up on their lips. So, I changed it. Aden’s new love is now Sidonie, Sid, for short. It fits her better, and the writing flows smoothly.

Don’t forget that it’s nearly May, and that means Brenda Novak’s Annual Auction for Diabetes Research. The auction officially begins May 1, so I’ll be posting more about it next week, but I’ll be participating in the auction this year!

And, now I’m going to get back to Aden. There are battles to win, territories to conquer!
Have a great week.

Today was beautiful and warm in SoCal. I feel almost guilty saying that, because I have friends in the more northern latitudes who are still being snowed upon. I say “almost guilty” because … hey, it’s SoCal! It was like 88-89° F, and the evening was balmy and warm. So lovely, and it’s been a rough couple of weeks with more to come, so the DH and I got all dressed up in our new, giant closet (aka THE DEN!), turned off the lights in our big new master bedroom (aka THE LIVING ROOM!) and went out to dinner.

Wonderful restaurant, we sat on the patio, had a drink (I only had one, because I had to go back home and work) delicious food and even dessert. To hell with calories. Like I said, it’s been a rough couple of weeks.

On the other hand, progress has been made. There are no more holes in my walls, for which I’m grateful. No more worrying about creeping creatures of any leg number sneaking into my house. Not that this was ever a worry, truly — the gaps were only in the (not so) dry wall, not the outer walls — but it’s a thing with me. So, walls are closed, but lots yet to do. And can someone please explain to me (the writer who works all night long) why every craftsman arrives at 8:00 am? Actually, I understand why. And they’ve all been wonderful, but I’m seriously sleep-deprived.

On the writing front, I posted a link this week on Facebook to an interview I did with Raquel on the READINGS SUNSHINE blog in Portugal. The interview’s in English, so enjoy.

I’m writing every night — good thing the DH is a deep sleeper, because I’m clicking away only a few feet from the bed (sigh) — and Aden’s story is moving along nicely. I also received some terrific news this week on that new project I’ve been working on. I hope to share with you soon, but not quite yet. I’m superstitious and don’t want to jinx anything.

On the TV front, GRIMM was a repeat, so was SUPERNATURAL, and just about everything else. But tonight’s GAME OF THRONES was terrific, possibly the best episode yet. And the season finale of SOUTHLAND (some of the best writing on TV) was a shocker. I’m looking forward to the new season of STRIKE BACK, and before that TRUE BLOOD, although one never knows what the TB writers are going to come up with. It might be awful, it might be okay. But speaking of TB, I saw a picture on Facebook of Alexander Skarsgard wearing a t-shirt that read, “Keep Calm and Fuck Me.” Um. Okay.

And finally tonight, I leave you with something beautiful. I posted this to Facebook earlier, but if you didn’t see it, you should. This dance is sensuous and beautiful, an amazing demonstration of grace and strength, and Michael Bublé’s music is the perfect accompaniment. I have no idea what this video is doing on a site called Just For Laughs, but HERE IT IS. CHECK IT OUT WITH THE SOUND UP!

Okay, back to work for me. Gotta get some writing done before I catch a couple of hours sleep and then answer the door at 8:00 am. ::sigh::

xoxo

Short version: My house is still a mess, and I’m indulging in shoe therapy to ease the pain. I bought two pairs so far, and have my eye on some sandals. Plus, I gave in and bought a new Kindle PaperWhite. My old, faithful Kindle has served me well, but it’s become cranky, not holding a charge, freezing up, and both the socket for the charger and the hook for the in-cover light need to be jiggled to get them to work. But my new PaperWhite is terrific, and has a pretty purple cover!

Lots of repeats on TV this week, but Game of Thrones continued with its third new episode. I love this show, but really hate watching it an hour at a time. If I had more patience, I’d wait until the end of the season and watch them back to back. Alas, I’m not that patient. This week’s ep was good, lots going on, betrayal all around. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell who the players are. They all look like they need a bath. lol

And now … I do believe I promised a Snippet. This is actually from HUNTED, the next Cyn & Raphael Novella. Lucas is pushing Aden as the new Lord of the Midwest, urging Raphael to support him. We all know by now that, rules be damned, if Raphael can’t work with him, Aden won’t survive the challenge. This snippet is from the scene where Raphael meets Aden for the first time, and is in Cyn’s POV. Also, it hasn’t been read by my editor yet, so there might be changes before it’s published.

————-
Note: This work is the sole, copyrighted property of the author.

…..The door opened, and the smell of dust and exhaust fumes wafted in, followed by louder voices. A moment later and Lucas was back, and he wasn’t alone. The newcomer, presumably Aden, was nearly as tall as Raphael, but bulkier, with thickly padded shoulders and arms beneath a leather coat. He had black hair and an olive complexion that made her think his origins were in the Mediterranean region of the world. He stepped into the room behind Lucas and paused, his hooded gaze taking in the entire room and its occupants before zeroing in on Raphael. Cyn tensed when Raphael stood to meet him, but Raphael himself seemed perfectly at ease, and she reminded herself that he was fully capable of defending himself and everyone else if it came down to it.
…..“My lord Raphael,” Lucas said formally, “This is Aden.”
….. Aden surprised Cyn by giving Raphael a slow, respectful bow from the waist. He straightened, then waited a beat, his eyes carefully assessing Raphael’s reaction before he crossed the room and stretched out his hand in greeting.
…..Raphael’s impassive expression didn’t change, but he shook Aden’s hand, and then gestured at the opposite sofa, inviting him to sit. All three vampires took a seat, with Lucas and Raphael together on the sofa facing Aden.
…..As if that was the signal everyone had been waiting for, the tension level in the house plummeted.

———————–

Back to work for me! Have a great week, and to my U.S. readers (sigh) Happy Tax Day!

xoxo

My house is in chaos. I’m a tidy control freak, and even though I’ve imposed some order on the mess, it’s driving me f#cking nuts! It even has me talking like a pirate!!! And in moving everything (and I mean EVERY SINGLE THING) out of my office and master bedroom, I’m pretty sure I’ve unearthed some creepy crawlies. ::shudder:: I found one on my wall today that was massive, with a ton of legs. Killed that sucker and threw in the OUTSIDE trash can. Didn’t even trust flushing it down the toilet, might crawl back up. And, yeah, it was pretty squished, but you never know.

On the other hand, I’ve been writing every night as I always do. It’s one thing I can control, plus it lets me escape into my characters’ worlds where the water stays outside where it belongs.

But enough kvetching. First up, let’s all take a look at the new Banner on my Street Team’s Facebook site. Isn’t it beautiful? The design is by Rasit Creations (www.rasit.info) There’s a new button, too. You can see that at the top of the left sidebar on my blog. (www.dbreynolds.com)

Working hard on Aden. Aden, Aden, Aden. He’s a complex guy. He has a good heart, but the heart is a muscle and he hasn’t flexed it much lately. Francesca will take care of that, but it won’t be easy. Oddly enough, Aden and Lucas are drinking buddies. They’ve been on the prowl together more than once. I try to imagine those two walking into a bar … All the other guys might as well go home, right?

I’m also working on a new project. That one’s very nearly complete. Like, one paragraph and it’s done complete. I’m keeping it under wraps for now, but I hope to have news before too long.

I keep adding to my 100 Books in a Year challenge. Added a few. But right now, I’m beta reading the highly anticipated Book 3 of THE HELLEQUIN CHRONICLES by my good friend (and brilliant author) Steve McHugh. The rest of you will have to wait until November. Eat your hearts out, people!! Mwahahahahaha.

Didn’t see any movies, but did see the latest GRIMM (won’t somebody please take Juliet far away?) I loved the way Monroe leapt to Rosalie’s defense! He’s usually so mild-mannered. Fantastic. And SOUTHLAND continues to be one of the best shows on television. SNL with Melissa McCarthy was hilarious. And as always I have Buffy up on my TV (no sound) while I’m working and last night it was the show where Angel comes back from hell. Sweet. I’ll say it again, David Boreanz was a hunk.

Of course, tonight I’ve got nothin’ because I’m writing this from a hotel room. Yes, they managed to chase me from my house for at least awhile. The repairs they’re doing will make the house unlivable for a couple of days. I’ve got to be back over there at 8:00 am tomorrow, er this morning, to let them in and get everything started. 8:00 am!! That’s unnatural. ::sigh:: I can hardly wait until all of this is over and my life is back to normal. I’m hoping elves will come in the middle of the night and move everything BACK IN to my rooms like magic. Unfortunately, I’m fairly certain that isn’t going to happen.

Okay. I’m going to try and get some work done, and maybe catch a few hours sleep before I have to get up at the damn crack of dawn! Argh!

Have a good week. Hope to catch you all next Sunday, from the comfort of my own damn house. And maybe with a snippet as a reward for your patience.

xoxo

As in … water in my office? Really? Do the gods of Fate not understand I have a book to write? ::sigh:: One of my sprinkler valves had a nervous breakdown on Friday morning. It came on and stayed on … for five hours. And a lot of that water came sliding into home office. My house is now a wreck. I’ve had to empty my office of all books and files, so the recovery guys can pull up (and probably replace) the carpeting and dry everything out. Fortunately, I’m a tidy sort, so no books or papers were on the floor where they could get soaked. And none of my computer equipment is on the floor either, so that’s all good. And I’d even planned on replacing the bookshelves in my office, and doing a spring cleaning of my files … BUT NOT THIS MONTH!! Grrrrrr.

So, my house is in chaos, and my office smells awful. I’ve moved my operations to the living room and my big chair, which is comforting. Writers need to be comforted when their work space is defiled.

Okay, enough kvetching. I got a lot of work done this week (take THAT, oh ye gods of Fate!) The DH and I even managed to do dinner and a movie yesterday (self-defense, to get away from the wet and the stink.) We saw Olympus Has Fallen. The first half is great. The second half … um, my professor DH thought it strained the boundaries of Willing Suspension of Disbelief. The graduate student in me would have to agree with him. But it was fun watching Gerard Butler get all grubby and sweaty and kick some ass. I think I liked that part better than the DH did.:D

GRIMM toyed with my emotions this week when Juliet threatened to leave town if Monroe didn’t take her to Nick’s trailer, and I’m like, “Don’t take her, Monroe!” Alas, she went to the trailer, so I guess we’re stuck with her. GAME OF THRONES (Winter is Coming!) started its season with an excellent episode. I had no trouble at all getting back into the story, although, of course, I’ve read the books which helped. JUSTIFIED had another fine episode, even though I couldn’t care less about Ellen May. Her character long outlived my interest in her. Raylan was in fine form, though, so it’s all good.

You know who else is in fine form … very fine form … Aden. And speaking of Aden, do I have any native Arabic speakers amongst my readers? I need colloquial Arabic, and that means I need a native speaker. If you’re out there, please email me at dbreynoldswriter@live.com. I’ll acknowledge you in the, um, Acknowledgments, and you’ll get a signed copy of ADEN as thanks!

I’ve updated the info on requesting bookmarks/bookplates, specifically to address international mailings. The postal coupon thing doesn’t work well, and obviously foreign stamps don’t work, so I’m instituting a new policy. I also updated my 100 Books in a Year Challenge, and added a couple of reviews on GoodReads. Somehow I don’t think reading 100 books in one year is going to be much of a challenge. I guess I read more than I realized. Maybe next year, I’ll go for 200. Hmmm, maybe not. Depends on my writing commitments.

Today is April 1. Impossible, I know. Next month is Brenda Novak’s annual Auction for Diabetes Research (maybe her last.) She always has some great things up for auction, and among the offerings this year will be a chance to name a character in ADEN. Yay! Stay tuned for dates and links.

Okay, back to work for yours truly. I have to make up for the last two water-logged days. Ugh.

Happy April – and no joke from me. (Unlike Nalini Singh, who really had me going with her wererabbits!)

xoxo

For my characters, anyway. That’s where ADEN’s story takes place (mostly), but the Cyn & Raphael novella starts in South Dakota and ends in Chicago. Which means the novella is all but written. It won’t go to my publisher just yet, because some continuity revisions might be necessary once ADEN is complete. But from here on out, it’s all Aden’s story. And what an interesting story it is. Not exactly a fairy tale. Unless you count the true Grimm’s fairy tales which were bloody and cruel.

btw LUCAS was Amazon’s Kindle Daily Deal last Sunday for Science Fiction and Fantasy, and it went through the roof, dropping into the top 100 in sales, and going #1 on three separate lists including Vampire Romance in both the Kindle and Book stores! My sincere thanks to everyone who helped make that possible. You all are the best!

I took a break this week to turn my damn taxes over to my accountant. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to get it off MY desk and onto his. It’s his problem now. Which means I can go back to spending time in my cave with Aden. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.

I am getting a surprising amount of reading done. Although, maybe it’s not surprising. I think it’s my normal amount of reading, it’s just that I’ve never kept track of how many books I read before. I’ve updated my 100 books in a year challenge, and I have to say … it’s not much of a challenge! LOL I’m at 37 books and we’re still in the first quarter of 2013! I also posted a couple of reviews on my MY GOODREADS PAGE.

And then there’s DABWAHA, the reader’s answer to March Madness. I’m failing miserably there. The bracket includes too many historicals, which I don’t read and that leaves me guessing. I’m barely above 50% on my bracket. Pitiful.

Movies … I finally saw THE HOBBIT this week. Shameful, I know, but events conspired to keep me from seeing it before now. I liked it, and although I thought the beginning was rather slow, it did finally pick up. And I have to say that Richard Armitage did the impossible and made Thorin Oakenshield sexy. When the dwarves are fighting, you forget all about the fact that they’re dwarves. Moving to Television … continuing to enjoy GRIMM, still wish Juliet would go away. Especially since she’s pretty much proven herself to be the dumbest female on the planet. I mean, really. She arrives home to find a gaping hole in her front room and she doesn’t think to call anyone? And when her phone finally rings … she drops it? Please. Oh, and she can’t unlock her door, and apparently it never occurs to her to break a damn window. No, she simply goes upstairs and goes to sleep. Evolution demands she be killed off before she breeds. THE FOLLOWING is in danger of losing me, but I’m hanging in there. And my heart is breaking because JUSTIFIED with the oh so sexy Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) has only two more episodes! I’m so sad.

All right. Enough pleasant chit chat. I’ve got to get back to work. Aden and Cyn have to trade a few insults, so he can move on to the big story.

Happy Passover (sundown tonight) and Happy Easter (next Sunday) … whichever holiday is yours.

I’ll be back here next week, same time, same place.

xoxo

Work, work, work. I went to a family birthday party today, and one of my male relatives wanted to know why the next book wasn’t out yet. Really? Jeez. I’m writing as fast as I can! And I’m making progress, too! In fact, Aden just discovered Cyn was armed and dangerous … especially when crossed. (heh, heh)

I did wear green for the occasion. Here’s my St. Patrick’s Day shirt (look closely.)

I think this cements my position as the weird relation in my family.

The Fool For Romance contest has officially begun. Lots of authors, including yours truly, with a great grand prize that includes a $100 Amazon gift card. Check it out below.

Also, a reader’s answer to March Madness, DABWAHA is officially open for bracket completion. Lots of fun and amazing prizes.

LUCAS was Amazon’s Kindle Daily Deal in Science Fiction and Fantasy yesterday — an Irish vampire for St. Paddy’s Day. A lot of readers took advantage of the one-day reduced price, which I posted on Facebook. Hope you were one of them. I don’t know if they repeat titles or not, but I’ll keep my eye out and let you know.

And now it’s back to the cave with me, because apparently even my brother-in-law is waiting for ADEN. Grrr.

xoxo
DBR

PS Oh, yeah, and I’m updating my 100 Book Challenge, too.
